Another successful and busy cruising season has come to an end and it’s now time to start preparing VIC 32 for the 2014 season.
This last year saw the 70th. birthday of VIC 32 and she performed like a youngster, but now she is waiting to go up the slip at Crinan Boatyard for her annual maintainence and ongoing plate renewal.
However some sad news, we are losing the services of our excellent engineer Lyall who has had to retire although he will be involved as ” boat sitter ” during the off season. We are hopefull that another New Zealand steam engineer, who has been involved with the steamer TSS EARNSLAW on Lake Wakatipu, will be his replacement.
This year also saw the publication of THE PUFFER COOKBOOK which has been a tremendous success with over 750 copies sold by the Trust to date, all proceeds going to the upkeep of the VIC 32.
We also still have raffle tickets for our 2014 raffle available, there are some great prizes including a holiday for two on VIC 32,malt whisky,an MP3 player to name a few (drawn 30/3/2014 ), and at only £1.00 per ticket or a book of 10 for £10 they are a great investment.
THE PUFFER COOKBOOK and raffle tickets are available from the Trust at Crinan Ferry.
