Become a ‘Friend of VIC 32’
Nick and Rachel Walker gave the Clyde Puffer known as ‘VIC 32’ to the Puffer Preservation Trust in 2002. If you wish to help us preserve the vessel for future generations to enjoy then please consider joining our ‘Friends of VIC 32’ to support the charity.
By becoming a member of ‘The Friends of VIC 32’ you are helping us to keep ‘VIC 32’ steaming for as long as possible through West Coast landscapes for future generations to witness and enjoy a living, breathing, fiery Puffer in a landscape which once hosted hundreds of these wee boats. We also aim to educate the public about the history of the Puffer Trade that served the West Coast, as well as VIC 32’s own unique history.
In exchange for your membership you will receive –
- A copy of our annual Calliope Newsletter full of stories and information about what is happening with VIC 32 and the Puffer Preservation Trust*
- The opportunity to participate in our much enjoyed volunteer working parties in spring each year (dates will be in the prior Calliope)
- Exclusive invitations to future events and special promotions or holiday offers made only available to our members*
- & of course the knowledge you are contributing greatly to the preservation of the last steam powered Clyde Puffer!
(If you add an additional donation of £500 or more, you may choose to have your name(s) engraved on a brass plaque – or you can choose to name a friend or relation to remember them by. You may also remain anonymous.)
There are lots of other ways to get involved with VIC32, and to help support ongoing maintenance:
- make a donation
- Artist? Create an artwork of the puffer for us to auction
- come on a cruise with us
- Fundraise for us at your event of choice
- Photographer or filmmaker? Check our dates and capture the boat to help us with promotion.
- come along to an event or open day… and make a donation!
- buy something from our Puffer Shop
