The free one hour trips on board the VIC 32 proved as popular as ever earlier this month.  We got a lovely ‘thank you’ email from one passenger, David Lickrish and his guests.   • Photos of the Puffer Puffing! We have been sent a couple of photos of the Puffer in action this week. First of all, an iconic shot of her leaving Lochranza … …and secondly, an eagle eye spotted her steaming out of Crinan heading for her first Jura trip of the year.  The route takes in Tayvallich for the first night.
  • 2019 Season Begins! Season 2019 got off to a flying start with a trip from the Puffer’s home in the Crinan Basin through the Crinan Canal.  Passengers rose to the occasion magnificently and were soon winding the sluices up and down and pushing / pulling the lock gates in a very professional manner.

  • Puffer Appeal   Since 1998 over a million pounds has been spent on replacing the Puffer’s hull.  This is now 75% complete.  Alongside the hull replacement the refurbishment of cabins, showers, the generator room, the workshop and the galley has been going on.
